Apparatus for stirring hydrogel particles of a water-soluble polymer made as a tank defined by a drum within which is housed an inner drum. Water-soluble polymers are introduced through a top opening in the tank into an annular space defined by the inner wall surfaces of the tank and the outer wall surfaces of the inner drum. The water-soluble polymer contents in the annular space are stirred by vanes mounted on a corresponding vertically disposed driven arms. The vanes have leading surfaces advanced in different circular paths within the annular space. One of the vane stirring arms and vane thereon is disposed to travel along a circular path in the vicinity of the inner surfaces of the tank and the other stirring arm vane and corresponding vane are advanced along a circular path in the vicinity of the outer wall surfaces of the inner drum. The leading surfaces of the vanes are disposed at an angle relative to a corresponding radial plane passing the annular space within which the water-soluble polymer contents are stirred. The vanes urge the contents inwardly of the space away from the inner wall surfaces of the tank and outer wall surfaces of the inner drum respectively. The invention relates to apparatuses of the chemical industry, in particular to devices for mixing the hydrogel of a water-soluble polymer with various chemicals. A mixing device is known, which comprises an annular mixing vessel in which there are rotating mixing elements with mixing blades attached to them. However, when using this device for mixing a hydrogel of a water-soluble polymer with various chemicals, during which the hydrogel particles are prone to sticking to one another, it does not provide effective mixing due to the uncertainty of the distance between the mixing element and the walls of the mixing tank, which leads to XJ I4D YU VI O WITH the formation of agolmeratov of hydrogel particles. It is also known to have a stirring device comprising an annular mixing vessel in which rotating stirring elements are mounted with mixing blades attached thereto. The disadvantage of the device is that when it is used for mixing the hydrogel of a water-soluble polymer with various substances, effective mixing is not possible due to the formation of agglomerates of hydrogel particles by rotating mixing elements, the distance between which and the walls of the mixing tank is indefinite ... The purpose of the invention is to increase the mixing efficiency. In a mixing device comprising an annular tank having a bottom part with an outer peripheral part defined by the inner surface of the outer cylinder and an inner peripheral part formed by the outer surface of the vertical inner cylinder having a diameter smaller than that of the outer cylinder installed between the outer and inner peripheral parts, and at least one permixing blade attached to each mixing element, the distance between each mixing element and the outer or inner peripheral surfaces is less than two times the diameter of the mixing element. A device for mixing hydrogel particles of a water-soluble polymer includes an annular mixing tank that has a bottom 1, an outer peripheral portion formed by the inner surface of the outer cylinder 2, and an inner peripheral portion formed by the outer surface of the inner cylinder 3 located coaxially with the outer cylinder 2.
